I stayed in the Guesthouse connected to this cafe and decided to see if their cafe was as amazing as their accommodation- and it was that and more!! Tommy and his wife are such kind, welcoming individuals, always ready to strike up a conversation (superb English!!), and the food was to die for- it was easily the best breakfast of my entire trip to Japan, WAY better than the infamous Happy Pancake. Their fruit was fresh and local. Very cute vibe. I think the food was well worth the price for the lovely service, yummy food, and simply to support a local business in this breathtaking town. I hope to return to Kōyasan and have a meal here once more!

This cafe is an absolute gem! This charming, quaint cafe is run by the sweetest couple, and it’s the perfect spot to relax with a coffee and pastry, before or after walking the town. We tried the chocolate croissant, fig bread, and coffees, and everything was delicious. The portions are very generous. The cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality made it an unforgettable stop. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic cafe in the hills of Koyasan! We stumbled across this restaurant purely by seeing the signs on the street beckoning us to a little hidden alleyway. What a gem of a spot! The owners (husband & wife duo?) were incredibly warm and welcoming and helped guide us on what to order. We had 2 chicken croissant sandwiches and the seasonal fig cake. This was exactly what we needed after 3+ hours of walking around this gorgeous town. Don’t leave Koyasan without stopping here!!

Fabulous food, service and atmosphere! The couple running the show were so gracious and hospitable. We enjoyed the seed bread with jam, the pastrami croissant, the hummus on toast. The carrot cake and the lemon cake were both delicious. The coffees were excellent. The shop is warm and inviting, decorated with tea cups and tea tins. There is a lovely outdoor seating area and an air conditioned indoor space also. The store is hidden away down a quaint and quiet alleyway.

A highly recommended cozy cafe down the alley along the main road with welcoming owners that made us felt at home immediately. Plus they definitely serves one of the better coffee and sandwiches we have had in West Japan region so far. Take your time to admire the cups collection of the owner too!

The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best breakfast I’ve had in Japan! The owners are also very kind and open to small talk. I can only recommend visiting if you’re ever in Koyasan!

Stumbled across this cute cafe, by noticing the sign. We decided to go give it a try. So glad we did! We had a vegetarian sandwich and the owners were so lovely. They asked us whether we eat cheese or egg. So they do have an understanding of vegetarian and vegan. Can definitely cater. We enjoyed the food and the carrot cake was delicious! highly recommend this cafe

Really cute café! Freshly baked cakes and croissants, and they even serve espresso! Totally recommend for breakfast or a quick snack while taking a pause from visiting temples!
